Jesse Eisenberg is a staple of modern Hollywood. His roles in films like The Social Network and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice have endeared him to fans of his quirky, intelligent demeanor. However, the actor will next step behind the camera with his latest endeavor. As first reported by Deadline, Eisenberg has written and will direct a new film with Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard attached to star.
The film, titled When You Finish Saving The World, will reportedly be a comedy-drama based on the upcoming Amazon Audible Original of the same name. The upcoming six-part audio show will focus on three members of a family as they navigate life and love. The three main characters are Nathan, a new father, Rachel, a young college student, and Ziggy, a teenager desperate to figure his life out. Per the initial report, the film will be loosely based on the Audible series but focus more on a mother-son story instead.
Additionally, Eisenberg’s Zombieland: Double Tap so-star Emma Stone will serve as a producer of the upcoming film alongside her fiancé SNL director Dave McCary.
Finn Wolfhard is quickly becoming a highly sought-after commodity in Hollywood. His role in Stranger Things has earned him starring roles in the It and Ghostbusters franchises. On the other hand, Julianne Moore continues to bolster her already impressive résumé. The actress was last seen on the big screen in 2019’s After the Wedding.
