‘The Mandalorian’: Peyton Reed To Reportedly Direct Season 2 Episodes

The highly anticipated second season of The Mandalorian on Disney+ is beginning to take shape. Last week, rumors of directors James Mangold and Robert Rodriguez working on the series surfaced before being debunked by Mangold himself. However, as first reported by Charles Murphy, Peyton Reed is set to helm 2 episodes for the upcoming season.
Reed is one of the best-known directors in Hollywood today. His work on films like Ant-Man, Ant-Man & The Wasp, Bring It On, and Yes Man has endeared him to audiences all over the world. Reed will likely bring a fresh sense of humor and fun to The Mandalorian. Additionally, Reed has a good working relationship with the show’s creator Jon Favreau. In the initial report, Murphy points out that Reed visited the set of The Mandalorian alongside Joe and Anthony Russo.

Reed joins an elite team of filmmakers working on the Star Wars series. Moreover, Waititi is likely to return to the director’s chair for season 2 as well.
The second season is shaping up to be rather ambitious. For example, series star Giancarlo Esposito recently teased some major Lightsaber action in season two. Additionally, WWE Superstar Sasha Banks will reportedly appear in the upcoming season as well.
