Bruno Mars To Star In & Produce New Musical Movie From Disney

Bruno Mars is one of the most successful and recognizable faces on the planet. The singer/songwriter has sold over 200 million singles and 26 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all-time. As first reported by Deadline, Mars will team with Walt Disney Studios for a new musical film.
Details of the upcoming film remain scarce at this time. However, Mars will reportedly write, record, and perform a bevy of new songs weaved within the movie’s narrative. It will receive a large theatrical release.

Previously, Mars has appeared on the big screen in 1992’s Honeymoon in Vegas and as the voice of Roberto in Rio 2. Additionally, the performer has won countless Grammy and American Music Awards and embarked on record-shattering worldwide tours.
The news follows the huge announcement that Disney paid $75 million for the rights to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton and will release it in October 2021. Furthermore, Disney recently cast Magic Mike star Channing Tatum in an upcoming film Bob the Musical.
