Channing Tatum To Star In Disney’s ‘Bob The Musical’

The ever-versatile Channing Tatum is taking his special brand of wit and charm to the House of Mouse. As first reported by Collider, the Magic Mike actor is set to star in the upcoming comedy from Walt Disney Pictures Bob the Musical.
The film has been in various stages of od development since 2004. Originally, Spider-Man: Into the SpiderVerse directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller circled the project. Additionally, a bevy of filmmakers, including Adam Shankman (Hairspray), showed interest in the project over the years as well.
Bob the Musical follows a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart after suffering a blow to the head. His reality instantly becomes a musical. Tatum will play Bob.

Tatum, along with Tripp Vinson (San Andreas) and Beau Flynn (Baywatch), will produce the project written by Allan Loeb (Rock of Ages).
The live-action musical will mark Tatum’s first big-screen appearance since 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Previously, the performer has shown his dancing prowess in films like Hail, Ceaser! and Step Up. Additionally, he went viral with a performance of Frozen‘s “Let It Go” on an episode of Lip Sync Battle.
