Ernie Hudson & Dan Aykroyd Confirmed To Reprise Their Roles In ‘Ghostbusters 2020’

Ghostbusters is one of the most popular and successful comedy franchises in cinematic history. It was announced that a new installation was in production and that it would serve as a direct sequel to the original films. This weekend, it was confirmed that two of the original members, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, are returning to action.
Written and directed by Jason Reitman, son of the original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, the film will be a formal passing-of-the-torch to a new team. The cast will be led by Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame), Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel), and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things).
However, some familiar faces will also be involved in the new film. Previously, Sigourney Weaver signed on to reprise her role in the film. The actress also teased the involvement of other franchise players.
Another familiar face confirmed his involvement with the film this weekend. In the middle of a Cameo video, paid for by fans wanting a special message from celebrities, Ernie Hudson revealed that he would return as well. Hudson played Winston Zeddemore in the first two Ghostbusters films and appeared in 2016’s Kristen Wiig-led reboot as Uncle Bill Jenkins.
