‘Warrior’ Star Andrew Koji To Play Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe ‘Snake Eyes’

G.I. Joe is a comic series, animation series and favorite toy in child hood. There’s been two live action action movies, and a third is on its way with The Wrap reporting Andrew Koji (Warrior) will take on the role of Storm Shadow.
Snake Eyes is ramping up casting efforts, with Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding taking on the lead role of Snake Eyes. Now Koji will be taking on the traditional villain role. Storm Shadow was created by Larry Hama in 1984 in the Marvel comic series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and then appeared in the second G.I. Joe animated miniseries by Sunbow Entertainment. Storm Shadow is a special forces soldier and a member of the (fictional) Arashikage ninja clan. The Japanese-American is friends with hero Snake Eyes before they become enemies. Storm Shadow ends up fighting for terrorist organization COBRA while Snake Eyes remains with G.I. Joe.
The screenplay for Snake Eyes is being written by Evan Spiliotopoulos who wrote the script for Beauty and The Beast. The plot will center around Snake Eye’s origins, so we might see the friendship between the two in the beginning of the movie.
