Neil Jackson Will Portray Icicle Sr. On DC Universe’s ‘Stargirl’

A Golden Age villain will be coming to the DC Universe streaming service. According to insider Lance Ausfresser in the Stargirl Facebook group, The King’s Man actor Neil Jackson is set to play Icicle Sr. on Stargirl.
First appearing in All-American Comics #90 in 1947, Dr. Joar Mahkent was a noted European physicist who turned to a life of crime as the villain Icicle. Originally written as an adversary for Alan Scott, Icicle would eventually join the second iteration of the Injustice Society of the World. A version of the character appeared on The CW’s The Flash, portrayed by Kyle Secor.
DC Universe appears to be setting up a family affair as we previously reported Hunter Sansone would be playing Cameron Mahkent, aka Icicle Jr., on Stargirl. In the comics, Cameron has no reason to use his father’s cold gun as he was able to biologically imbue his son with the ability to freeze objects or people and to lower the temperature of an area.
