DC Universe has added yet another rogue to its growing cast of characters. According to insider Lance Ausfresser in the Stargirl Facebook group, Hunter Sansone will be portraying Icicle Jr. on the upcoming series Stargirl, Full Circle has learned.
Stargirl is set to focus on the younger legacy characters of the DC Universe. Cameron Mahkent, aka Icicle Jr., is the son of Icicle Sr. a frequent enemy of Green Lantern. Unlike his father, however, who used a cold gun to pull off crimes, Cameron was born with ice-based metahuman powers.
While Sansone’s casting was previously reported, it was unknown until now who the actor would portray. It is unclear how large of a role Icicle Jr. will play in the show so, for now, we will have to wait for further updates from DC Universe.
Icicile Jr. has appeared in the fan-favorite animated series Young Justice. The character is the second Young Justice alum to join the roster of characters showing up in Stargirl. We recently reported that Artemis would also appear on the show portrayed by Stella Smith.
This casting has yet to be confirmed by Sansone or DC Universe so, for now, this is merely a rumor. But as more casting is announced, you can be sure we at Full Circle will keep you updated!
