Pedro Pascal Reportedly Joins ‘Fantastic Four’ As Reed Richards

It appears that based on a new report, Marvel Studios has finally found their Reed Richards. Initially posted by insider Daniel Richtman and later confirmed by /Film, Pedro Pascal has been cast as Mr. Fantastic in the highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot.
Casting on the project has been at a standstill for the past few months in the wake of the SAG-AFTRA strike, but with that finally resolved, it seems things are back in gear. It was initially reported that Pascal was only in talks for the role, but based on /Film’s new report, the deal is done and will be officially announced soon. Additionally, other outlets, including Deadline, have stated the actor is still only in talks for the role.

Pascal would be the first actor to join the project, as Marvel Studios has been very careful with casting their newest property. The reboot has been highly anticipated by fans, and it seems the studio is taking no chances. This leaves the rest of the Four, including Sue Richards, who will reportedly lead the film, The Human Torch, The Thing, and presumably Doctor Doom, the team’s longtime foe.
The project is currently being helmed by Matt Shakman, who previously directed Marvel Studios’ WandaVision. Additionally, Avatar 2 scribe Josh Friedman is set to write the film.
If the casting is made official, this would be yet another major property Pascal can add to his resume. He has already starred in Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, and the Star Wars series The Mandalorian.Â
