Animated ‘Watchmen’ & ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Films Announced

DC has some exciting new animated films in development for 2024. During the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the upcoming Justice League: Warworld film, it was announced that animated adaptations of Watchmen and Crisis on Infinite Earths are in the works.
Much like the upcoming Warworld movie, the animated adaptation of Watchmen will be R-rated. As for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, no rating was confirmed. DC did not confirm any creative staff or casting for either film during the panel, but given they release next year, it should not be long before fans can expect more news. The studio did reveal the logos for both films, which can be found below.

This marks the third time DC has adapted Watchmen, with the first being the 2009 film adaptation from Zack Snyder and the second being the television sequel series that aired on HBO in 2019. As for Crisis on Infinite Earths, DC most recently adapted the iconic comic event during the 2019 television event on The CW.
