Producer Avi Arad also teased that a Spider-Woman movie would be released sooner than expected. And it sounds like Hailee Steinfeld, who stars as the heroine in the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is up for it. During the premiere, she spoke with Variety about the role.
“This is like my dream job, sign me up over and over again,” she said about doing voice work. “I got to be comfortable! And it’s a dream to be in a space that feels so comfortable but also creative and free and just exciting to be a part of.”
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, and Kemp Powers and will see the return of both Shameik Moore’s Miles and Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy. The cast includes Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Karan Soni as Spider-Man India, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, and Andy Samberg as Ben Reilly.
