‘Wonder Man’: Lauren Glazier Joins Disney+ Cast

Marvel Studios have tapped two new stars to join the cast of their upcoming Disney+ series. According to Deadline, Lauren Glazier has boarded Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Don Heck in 1964, Wonder Man debuted in The Avengers #9. Simon Williams was initially introduced as a villain with ionic powers. Eventually, the character was reformed and even went on to join the Avengers. In the comics, Wonder Man’s brain pattern was copied to create the mental template for Vision.

Glazier is best known for her work on the Netflix series Mindhunter. Her recent credits include Tales of the Walking Dead and the Apple TV+ series See. For now, her role in Wonder Man has been kept under wraps.
Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will executive produce the series, while Andrew Guest (Community and Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will serve as head writer. The project is part of Cretton’s overall deal with Marvel Studios he signed after Shang-Chi.
