James Wan Reportedly In Talks To Helm ‘Fast & Furious’ Spin-Off

It has previously been reported that Universal Pictures has a number of Fast & Furious spin-offs in development. Now a new report from insider Daniel Richtman claims James Wan is in talks to direct one of them.
Richtman did not confirm what the potential spin-off may focus on. A previous report revealed a female-led film is in the works that would focus on Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty. But it remains to be seen if Wan would be involved with this project.

Wan is no stranger to the high-octane franchise as he previously directed Furious 7. The director recently helmed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is set to release on December 25, 2023.
Fast X, the next movie in the franchise, is set to release on May 19 and will be helmed by Louis Leterrier. Featuring a large ensemble cast of old and new stars, the film will focus on Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his crew seeking help to take on Charlize Theron’s Cipher and Jason Mamoa’s Dante.
