‘Alien: Romulus’: Phoebe Waller-Bridge Eyed For Key Role

Very little is known of the next film in the iconic franchise beyond its working title of Alien: Romulus. But now insider Daniel Richtman has revealed that actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge is being eyed for a key role in the movie.

According to Richtman, Waller-Bridge is being eyed to play an android by the name of Rook. Her character would supposedly have a similar role as Michael Fassbender’s David in Prometheus and Alien Covenant.

If Waller-Bridge does sign on to the project, she will join The Craft: Legacy star Cailee Spaeny who was cast in Alien: Romulus in November. Details of Spaeny’s role are unknown, but she is reportedly going to star.

The film is being written and directed by Evil Dead‘s Fede Álvarez. Ridley Scott is producing the project through his Scott Free banner. Reports claim the movie is eyeing a February start date for filming.
