‘Deadpool 3’: Owen Wilson To Reprise His Role As Mobius

It seems Deadpool’s first outing in the MCU will feature a fan-favorite character. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Owen Wilson will reprise his role as Mobius in Deadpool 3.
Richtman reports that Wilson will have a significant role in the film, meaning his appearance will go beyond a simple cameo. Mobius made his MCU debut in Marvel Studios’ Loki as an agent of the TVA, where he partnered with the titular god of mischief.

In September, it was confirmed that Hugh Jackman is set to return as Wolverine for the film, which adds some credence to the film taking place in the Fox-Marvel timeline. This could explain how Wilson’s Mobius will be involved if Deadpool is expected to jump timelines and make his way to the prime MCU timeline.
Shawn Levy is set to helm the highly anticipated sequel after collaborating with Reynolds in the past on Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project. A first draft of the movie was penned by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known for the animated series Bob’s Burgers. But most recently, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the previous two Deadpool films, have worked on the project.
