‘Bodies, Bodies, Bodies’ Star Myha’la Herrold Joins Sony’s Gamestop Movie ‘Dumb Money’

Myha’la Herrold star of HBO Max’s Industry and A24’s Bodies, Bodies, Bodies has joined Sony and Black Bear’s ensemble cast for the Gamestop movie Dumb Money, according to Deadline. The film already has a cast that includes Anthony Ramos, Vincent D’Onofrio, Dane DeHaan, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, and Pete Davidson. Davidson and Herrold previously starred in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies together so it will be interesting to see them interact onscreen again.
Many of the character details have yet to be revealed. However, Herrold reportedly will play a college student who delves into the world of the Stock Market. The film takes place during the Covid-19 pandemic. She follows the Roaring Kitty YouTube channel for stock updates and invests in Gamestop. She ends up taking on more than she can handle and possibly ends up losing it all.

Herrold essentially plays the same character in Industry. She’s a fresh-out-of-college student that joins an investor firm and ends up taking on heavy clients. Apparently, she has a character type and it fits her well. It’s going to be interesting to see her take on this type of stock market role as an investor with no experience versus somebody working at a firm. Up next for Herrold will be a Netflix original titled Leave the World Behind, co-starring Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, and Ethan Hawke.
