As fans will remember from the season 3 finale, Homelander murdered Black Noir after finding out the latter had lied to him. Given this, it seems likely that Vought is trying to keep the character’s death a secret and have thus hired a double.
Season 3 left The Boys in an interesting position as Starlight has officially joined the team, and Butcher is slowly dying. Additionally, Ryan has been taken in by Homelander and has already started to corrupt the young supe. It will be interesting to see how all of this comes to a head in the upcoming season, so fans will want to stay tuned for updates from the set.
