During Disney’s D23 Expo last month, Marvel Studios debuted a number of new trailers and first looks for several of their upcoming projects. One such project was the first look at Loki season 2, which unfortunately was not released online to the public. But now, footage from the trailer has surfaced online.
The footage, seen below, offers a first look at what to expect from the upcoming season. Picking up right after the events of season 1, Loki looks to be working with Mobius and the TVA once again. The trailer doesn’t give away too much, but it does look to be laying the groundwork for a multiversal time war based on what Tom Hiddleston’s titular god of mischief says in the footage.

Loki season 2 will see the return of Hiddleston’s iconic Loki, Owen Wilson’s Mobius, and Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, who makes a brief appearance in the trailer in plain clothes. Jonathon Majors’ Kang the Conqueror was seemingly absent from the trailer beyond a quick glimpse at some statues featuring his likeness. It is unknown if he will appear in a significant role in the upcoming season, but it is fair to assume his presence will be felt.
Since Loki debuted on Disney+, the MCU has delved even further into the multiverse with Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania promises to continue the multiversal adventures as it will feature the theatrical debut of Majors. So given that, it will be exciting to see what the second season of Loki brings to the table.
