‘My Dress-Up Darling’ Season 2 Officially Announced

After the massive success of the My Dress-Up Darling anime, many fans assumed a sequel project would be announced. And thankfully, they were correct, as a second season has finally been announced.
The sequel project was confirmed to be in production during an event for the series. It was not revealed when the second season can be expected to be released as it is still in early development.

Written by Shinichi Fukuda, the My Dress-Up Darling manga began serialization in Square Enix’s Young Gangan in 2018. Season 1 aired from January to March 2022 and was produced by CloverWorks. The story follows high school student Wakana Gojo who dreams of working on traditional Japanese Hina Dolls. Gojo has a hard time fitting in with his classmates until he meets the popular Marin Kitagawa, who ropes him into her secret hobby, cosplay.
The first season was directed by Keisuke Shinohara at Cloverworks, with Yoriko Tomita serving as script supervisor. Kazumasa Ishida oversaw the characters’ designs and served as chief animation director. Lastly, Takeshi Nakatsuka composed the music for the series.
