‘Genshin Impact’ Anime In The Works From Ufotable

Genshin Impact fans were in for quite a surprise Friday when it was announced an anime project based on the hit game is in the works. Game developer HoYoverse confirmed the news and revealed that the animation studio Ufotable will be developing the series.
Revealed during the game’s Version 3.1 Special Programme, a concept trailer was aired showcasing the art of the project. HoYoverse referred to the anime as a “long-term” project, so it will likely be some time before the actual series is released. The trailer was also released on Genshin Impact’s socials and can be found below.

Genshin Impact is an action RPG first released by miHoYo in 2020, which features an open-world environment with an anime aesthetic. The story follows the Traveler who is separated from their sibling during a battle with a mysterious god. Finding themselves in the fantastical world of Teyvat, the Traveler meets new friends and allies like Paiman on their search for their sibling. Along the way, they become involved in the various affairs of the nations of Teyvat.
Ufotable is well known among anime fans and have been behind many hit series. The studio is best known for the Fate series and, most recently, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
