‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’: First Look At Full Midnight Angel Armor

Marvel Studios treated fans to a number of first looks at D23 Expo. A glimpse of the full Midnight Angel armor worn by Michaela Coel’s Aneka was included.
Created by Jonathan Maberry and Will Conrad, Aneka debuted in 2009’s Black Panther #8. The character was the instructor of the Dora Milaje and was tasked with training the warriors for the upcoming Doomwar. Aneka served the nation of Wakanda but eventually was forced to flee her home and used the Midnight Angel armor to settle part of the Jabari-Lands.

The costume looks like it was taken straight from the comics and has faithfully adapted the design. Aneka’s outfit was featured prominently with the rest of the cast at D23 Expo, so it will be interesting to see how large of a role she plays in the film.
The film features returning stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett. It is also set to feature the MCU debut of Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, who will take on the identity of Ironheart.
