During Marvel Studios’ panel at D23 Expo, fans got a first look at some exciting new projects, including Thunderbolts. It was revealed that the team’s roster is set to include Bucky, Ghost, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Taskmaster, and Yelena.
It was previously reported that the team is set to be led by Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, but now the rest of the cast has been confirmed. Pugh is now joined by Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp, David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster from Black Widow, Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes. Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine will supervise the group.

Jake Schreier is currently attached to direct the project. Previously, he worked on various music videos, including Kanye West’s “Follow God” and “Closed on Sunday” for Jesus Is King, and “I Know Alone” by Haim. Eric Pearson, who worked on Black Widow, is writing the screenplay for the film.
