‘Superman & Lois’: Michael Bishop Cast As Jonathan Kent

The CW’s Superman & Lois has finally found their new Jonathan Kent. Warner Bros. revealed Wednesday that Michael Bishop will take on the role following the departure of Jordan Elsass.

Bishop made his American film debut with Disney’s Spin but has previously appeared in the television series Grace Beside Me as well as shorts Skin Like Bark and Shelter. The actor is now set to portray the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane in the upcoming third season of The CW series.

In August, it was confirmed that Elsass would not be returning for the show’s upcoming season due to personal reasons. He originated the role of Jonathan Kent alongside Alexander Garfin, who portrayed his brother Jordan, Tyler Hoechlin, and Elizabeth Tulloch, who played Superman and Lois Lane, respectively. The series is a part of the larger Arrowverse; however, it was recently confirmed it exists outside of the main universe.
