‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ Announced By Marvel Studios
The Avengers will return as Marvel Studios has announced the title of an upcoming film during their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. At the panel, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the movie’s title — Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The Kang Dynasty was the title of an event in the comics by Kurt Busiek, Alan Davis, Kieron Dwyer, Ivan Reis, and Manuel Garcia. It featured Kang the Conqueror arriving in the 21st century with his son intent on conquering the planet. The event was notable as Kang was the first villain to take over the world in Marvel Comics, but the Avengers eventually defeated him.

Kang the Conquerer was introduced to the MCU in the season one finale of Loki as He Who Remains, played by Jonathan Majors. The character teased his powers and abilities over time and even revealed during the final moment of the season that he has now taken control over the TVA and will play an active part in the timeline. He will make his next appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, so it will be interesting to see how the film sets up his role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Marvel Studios is well known for adapting comic events to fit the MCU narrative, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War. Given this, it will be interesting to see how the film will adapt the Kang Dynasty event and what role the character will play moving forward.
