Frank Ocean To Reportedly Make Feature Directorial Debut For A24

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Frank Ocean is seemingly making his foray into directing. According to DiscussingFilm, the musician is in talks to write and direct his own feature film for A24 and 2AM.
Frank Ocean, real name Christopher Edwin Breaux, is working with 2AM on the potential feature. 2AM is still a newer production company that has received backing from the more recognizable A24. Their previous credits include Bodies, Bodies, Bodies starring several young stars such as Amanda Stenberg, Rachel Sennott, and Peter Davidson, and Past Lives starring Greta Lee and Teo Yoo.

This would not be Frank Ocean’s first work in filmmaking, as he wrote and directed 2016’s Endless, a visual album released exclusively on Apple Music. The potential project with 2AM and A24, however, would be his feature debut.
Assuming Frank Ocean can free up his schedule, the plan is to begin filming this fall and wrap before the New Year. Additionally, the artist has eyed New Mexico as a potential shooting location. But again, this is all dependent on whether he is able to ensure availability in his schedule without hindering other commitments.
