Disney and Lucasfilm revealed a plethora of new information regarding their slate of upcoming Star Wars projects during Star Wars Celebration 2022. In addition to all that information, Daniel Richtman has revealed some new casting for Ahsoka. According to the insider, Mark Rolston, Peter Jacobson, and Michele Weaver have joined the project.
Richtman did not reveal who each of the actors will be playing nor how significant their roles will be. The show is set to serve as a sort of sequel to the Star Wars Rebels animated series, so it’s possible they could be characters from there or, more likely, all original roles.
Rolston has previously appeared in a number of notable films including Aliens, Lethal Weapon 2, and The Shawshank Redemption. Jacobson has appeared in several shows such as House, Fear the Walking Dead, and Colony. Lastly, Weaver has had roles in the television series Love Is…, Council of Dads, and Real Husbands of Hollywood.
Ahsoka hails from writer Dave Filoni, who will executive produce the series alongside Jon Favreau. Lucasfilm is financing the latest Star Wars live-action series with Disney+ handling distribution. Additionally, production on the series has recently begun.
