The Fast & Furious series is one of the most beloved and financially successful film franchises in cinematic history. With the highly anticipated tenth installment on the way, a bevy of new names and faces are joining the proverbial family. As first reported by Deadline, Titans star Alan Ritchson is the latest name to join the cast of the newly titled Fast X.
Ritchson joins other recent cast additions Brie Larson, Jason Momoa, and Daniela Melchior. Additionally, Now You See Me director Louis Letterier is set to direct, replacing Justin Lin, who recently departed the project.
Vin Diesel will return to the franchise that made him famous along with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Sung Kang. While The Rock is unlikely to return to the film as Luke Hobbs, his former WrestleMania opponent John Cena will likely reprise his role from F9. Moreover, movie legend Helen Mirren also seems to be returning to the franchise as well. Additionally, Universal Pictures will release the feature on May 19, 2023.
Alan Ritchson’s career features a litany of memorable roles in TV shows like Blue Mountain State and DC’s Titans. Most recently, the actor has received critical acclaim for his role as the title character on the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher. Notably, Ritchson recently made his directorial debut with Lionsgate’s Dark Web: Cicada 3301.
