Matthew Law & Shakira Barrera Reportedly Join ‘Ahsoka’ In Large Roles

It appears that the upcoming Ahsoka series on Disney+ has added two additional actors to the series in large roles. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Matthew Law and Shakira Barrera have joined the cast.

Richtman did not reveal who the actors will portray in the series, but it is interesting that they will have significant roles. Ahsoka is set to focus on Rosario Dawson’s titular character as she searches for Ezra and Thrawn, who disappeared during the events of Star Wars Rebels. So it’s possible they could portray the live-action versions of certain characters from the latter series, or they may be new characters.

Law is known for his roles in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and A Fall from Grace. Most recently, he has appeared in the television series The Oval. Barrera has also appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is known for her role in the television series GLOW.

Star Wars: Ahsoka hails from writer Dave Filoni, who will executive produce the series alongside Jon Favreau. Lucasfilm is financing the latest Star Wars live-action series with Disney+ handling distribution. Additionally, production on the series has recently begun.
