Live-Action ‘Percy Jackson’ Series Has Officially Cast Annabeth & Grover

Disney+ has finally found its trio for the live-action Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. First reported by Variety, actress Leah Sava Jeffries has joined the cast as Annabeth Chase alongside Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
The series will adapt Rick Riordan’s best-selling series, which follows 12-year-old demigod Percy Jackson who has just learned he is the son of the sea god Poseidon. After being accused of stealing Zeus’ master lightning bolt, he and his friends Annabeth and Grover embark on a journey to find it and save Olympus.

Jeffries’ Annabeth is a daughter of the goddess Athena and is a brilliant strategist. She has spent the past five years in Camp Half-Blood and longs to test her skills in the outside world.
Simhadri’s Grover is a satyr, a half-man and half-goat creature, who helps guide Percy to Camp Half-Blood. He joins the titular hero and Annabeth on their journey.
Production on the series is ready to begin soon in Vancouver. Riordan and Jon Steinberg wrote the pilot for the series, with James Bobin set to direct. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are set to oversee the series and serve as executive producers alongside Bobin, Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, Anders Engström, Jet Wilkinson, and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg.
