‘Casper’ Live-Action Series In The Works At Peacock

Casper the Friendly Ghost will soon be reminding audiences why he’s the friendliest ghost out there. Peacock and writer Kai Yu Wu will be reimagining the decades-old icon for the streaming service.
The series will be set in high school and revolve around a new family arriving in Eternal Falls, where Casper finds himself entangled in a mystery involving dark secrets that are over 100 years old.
Casper has been a well-known icon for decades. Originating in animated films back in the 1940s, Casper has dipped his ethereal toe in almost every medium, headlining comic books, animated series and even his own movie in 1995 starring Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci.
