Jonathan Groff & Ben Aldridge Join M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Knock At The Cabin’

Deadline reports that Jonathan Groff and Pennyworth star Ben Aldridge will be joining M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film, Knock at the Cabin, alongside an already announced Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, and Nikki Amuka-Bird. Shyamalan is not only directing the film but writing the script and acting as executive producer. Production is slated to start later this year, with a release date slated for February 3, 2023. Details on the plot have been kept under wraps, as obvious with any Shyamalan picture.
No details have also been provided on who the actors will be playing. However, Groff was last seen as Agent Smith in Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix Resurrections and is notably known for playing King George III of the United Kingdom in Hamilton and Kristoff in the Frozen series. Aldridge is known for playing Thomas Wayne in the Epix TV series Pennyworth, which has been renewed for a third season on HBO Max.

Shyamalan has previously worked with Rupert Grint on the Apple TV+ series Servant, co-starring Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose, to which he has directed select episodes and acts as showrunner/executive producer. The series has recently started its third season, which will end on March 25th. Shortly after its finale, it is expected that Shyamalan will be starting to shoot Knock At The Cabin. The film will be distributed by Universal Pictures, as with his previous few films, including The Visit, Old, and the last two installments in the Eastrail 777 trilogy, Split and Glass.
