‘Batgirl’ Set Footage Reveals First Look At Firefly In Action

Things are heating up on the set of HBO Max’s upcoming Batgirl film. New footage and images from production have revealed the first look at Brendan Fraser’s Firefly in costume as well as the movie’s titular heroine in pursuit.

The first image, which can be seen below, is the first look at Firefly’s costume. The project is going for a realistic costume design while staying true to the comic origins. Included in his costume are his pyrotechnic equipment and his mask.

In addition to the first look at Firefly’s costume, fans also have a glimpse at the villain in action as Leslie Grace’s Batgirl pursues him. Firefly, seen on the back of the firetruck, is shooting his flames across the streets of Gotham while the heroine gives chase on her motorcycle.

Brendan Fraser currently stars in season three of DC’s acclaimed HBO Max series Doom Patrol as Robotman. Next, the George of the Jungle actor will star in Dalibor Stach’s Behind the Curtain of Night. Moreover, Fraser will lead the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming A24 feature titled The Whale. Additionally, Fraser will appear alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the film. Additionally, the script hails from Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson. It was previously announced that the project will debut on the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max.
