Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Set Photos Tease Foosha Village

Production on Netflix’s live-action One Piece is currently underway, and it seems they are making their way through the first arc of the series, Romance Dawn. New set photos have revealed the first look at what appears to be Foosha Village, a key location in the arc.
The images, which can be seen below, feature several windmills that are a common sight in the village. The small port village located on Dawn Island is the former home of the series protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy.

First published in 1997, One Piece is written and illustrated by Eichiro Oda. The series is still in print today and has spawned a massive media franchise, including an anime series that first aired in 1999, a number of films, and several video games. In 2021 One Piece became the best-selling manga series in history, with 490 million copies in circulation.
The series is set to star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibbs as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. With production currently underway, it has not been announced when the show will debut on Netflix.
