Warner Bros. has assembled a stacked cast for their upcoming live-action Barbie project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simu Liu is in negotiations to join the film.
The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star will appear alongside the film’s star Margot Robbie as well as Ryan Gosling and Americ Ferrera. His role in the movie has not yet been revealed as of yet.

The film stars Robbie as Barbie and Gosling as Ken. The former is set to produce the project under her LuckyChap banner alongside Tom Ackerley. Robbie Brenner and David Heyman are also producing.
Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach wrote the script for the project, with the former set to direct the film. Plot details are still being kept under wraps.
Liu is best known for his starring role as the titular hero in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He has also starred in the Canadian sitcom Kim’s Convenience and will appear in the upcoming films One True Loves and Arthur the King.
