Rita Ora Joins Cast Of ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Prequel Series

Disney’s upcoming Beauty and the Beast prequel series has added another star to its impressive cast. During the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, it was announced that singer/songwriter Rita Ora has joined the show.
The series already stars Josh Gad and Luke Evans, who will reprise their roles as LeFou and Gaston from the 2017 film. Briana Middleton, Fra Fee, and Jelani Alladin have also signed on to appear in the prequel series.

Ora’s character was described as “a fugitive with surprising abilities who carries with her a secret that could potentially affect an entire kingdom.” Shortly after the announcement, the star confirmed her casting on social media and expressed her love for the original film.

EGOT winner Alan Menken is set to write the soundtrack for the show, with Gad serving as an executive producer along with Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. The prequel will follow Gaston, LeFou, and LeFou’s stepsister Tilly as they embark on an adventure. The trio finds themselves on an unexpected adventure packed with romance and adventure. Additionally, the series will expand the lore surrounding the Beauty and the Beast franchise.
