Morgan Freeman & Jaimie Alexander To Star In ‘The Minute You Wake Up Dead’

Details surrounding yet another hot package at the upcoming European Film Market have surfaced. As first reported by Deadline, cinematic legend Morgan Freeman will next star in a new feature titled The Minute You Wake Up Dead alongside Thor star Jaimie Alexander.

The duo will join Yellowstone star Cole Hauser in the film’s cast. Michael Mailer (Blind) is directing the feature with a script penned by Timothy Holland (Rabbit Trail). Dawn Bursteen (Pursuit) and Alan B. Bursteen (Catch the Bullet) will executive produce the film on behalf of Milestone Studios. In a statement, the producers tout their excitement to work with the cast.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have such a stellar cast with unique talents on board. Morgan Freeman is one of the most acclaimed and respected actors globally, paired with the terrifically versatile and talented Cole Hauser and the wonderfully gifted actress Jaimie Alexander is an extraordinary and ideal cast for the film.”

The Minute You Wake Up Dead is a psychological thriller. The plot follows a stockbroker (Cole Hauser) living in a small town in the south. After getting mixed up in an insurance claim with his neither (Jaimie Alexander) multiple murders occur as more and more people want to benefit from the scheme. However, Sheriff Thurmond Fowler (Morgan Freeman) uncovers the plot and devotes himself to unraveling the mystery.

Morgan Freeman is one of the most celebrated performers in cinematic history. Thanks to memorable roles in films like The Dark Knight, Driving Miss Daisy, and The Shawshank Redemption, Freeman is the recipient of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Up next, he joins Alfre Woodard and Bill Burr in the drama Hate to See You Go. Meanwhile, Jamie Alexander is returning to the MCU as the Asgardian Lady Sif in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love And Thunder. Additionally, Alexander will star alongside Gerard Butler in the action-thriller Chase.
