(SPOILER) To Reportedly Appear In ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’

A major DC hero will reportedly cameo in the upcoming sequel. According to The Illuminerdi, Wonder Woman is set to appear in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods.

Based on previous reports, the upcoming film will feature Billy Batson and his super-powered family facing off against the three daughters of Atlas, played by Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler. Given this connection to the old gods, it makes some sense that Wonder Woman will join the fray.

The Illuminerdi did not reveal further details about Wonder Woman’s role in the film. It seems likely it will be limited to a small appearance to help bring Shazam into the wider DC Universe. But for now, fans will have to speculate about the extent of her cameo.

The highly anticipated sequel is set to feature the return of Asher Angel as Billy Batson, and Zachary Levi as his adult alter ego Shazam. The young hero will have to face off against multiple villains, including Liu as Kalypso, Mirren as Hespera, and of course Zegler in an unconfirmed role.

David F. Sandberg is returning to direct the sequel with a screenplay penned by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. Moreover, Geoff Johns will produce the feature alongside Peter Safran (Aquaman).
