‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Ep. 6 – ‘Least You Had A Spare’ Review: “A Painful Heartbreak”

Family… everybody’s is different. Some people have very wonderful relationships with theirs, and some people do not. The lengths that some parents are willing to go with their children are literally criminal. We’ve seen the parents in I Know What You Did Last Summer and their family dynamic. It’s something that looks cool on television, but in real life can screw up anybody. These parents though will do anything for their children, no matter the cost.
The last time we left the OG crew, Lennon (Madison Iseman). Margot (Brianne Tju), Dylan (Ezekiel Goodman), and Riley (Ashley Moore) were all at Clara’s (Brooke Bloom) house. They had trespassed on her property and are being chased out of the premises. The episode ends with somebody breathing hard and blood everywhere. A cliffhanger that would lead us into yet another chaotic episode of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
We see what happened between the crew running away from Clara’s house, and how we ended up with a bloody wall and a heavy breathing human. The episode focuses on the OG crew along with Bruce (Bill Heck) and Courtney (Cassie Beck). The crew is searching for a missing member, and Lennon is still upset with her father. We find out more about Bruce’s past, which somewhat ties a lot of loose ends in this episode. It’s absolutely chaotic and you all will enjoy it.

Benjamin Semanoff tackles his second episode as director and keeps the flow going. Lana Cho is the screenwriter and she gives us a great script. It throws out so much information that you somewhat forget the purpose is to find the killer. The writing team has done a wonderful job at keeping the audience at bay. We are constantly bombarded with information from the past and present all while trying to patch it together. It definitely makes the show more interesting.
This is an emotional episode though. Especially for Lennon, she’s is such an insane situation I think most people would’ve folded by now. There’s a certain awkwardness to how she approaches everything, and Iseman gives another stellar performance. Goodman definitely is also giving a phenomenal performance with Beck right behind him. You just have to appreciate these actors and the work they’re doing.
The ride is almost over, and we have two episodes left. There are still a few questions that need to be answered especially after this episode. We will get them soon, but at what cost? The OG crew is running out of time, and so is Sheriff Lyla (Fiona Rene). Who do you think it is? Is it obvious or is it something deeper? – Rascal F. Kennedy
