‘John Wick’ Origin Series ‘The Continental’ Casts Mel Gibson

Following a slew of hit films, the world of John Wick will be moving to the realm of television. With a little help from Mel Gibson.
The Continental will tell the origin of the infamous hotel from the films. This 3-night television event will take place in 1975’s New York City and will follow a young Winston Scott (played by Ian McShane in the films) to face a past he thought he’d left behind.

Gibson will play a new character, Cormac. Not much is known about Gibson’s character or who will potentially play the young Scott in the series. It’s unknown if franchise star, Keanu Reeves, will make an appearance but since he’s immortal anything is possible.
The John Wick series of films find audiences transported to a world of high-stakes and elite assassins. The hotel where the assassins all seem to congregate, The Continental, has enamored fans since it was first to introduce in the 2014 film.
