Bridget Regan Cast As Poison Ivy In ‘Batwoman’ Season 3

The CW’s DC Universe continues to grow. In the most recent development, Batwoman has cast the iconic villain Poison Ivy. According to Variety, the villain will appear in a recurring supporting role, portrayed by Bridget Regan. She will make her debut in the third season.
Perhaps best known for her role among comic book fans as Dottie Underwood in Agent Carter, Regan is a television veteran. Furthermore, her expansive resume includes series such as White Collar and The Last Ship. This specific version of the character is as follows:
Poison Ivy, a.k.a Pamela Isley, is as former botany student of Gotham University described as a passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better. But her plans shifted when she was experimented on by a colleague, injected with various plant toxins which turned her into the infamous Batman villain Poison Ivy. With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right, even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods. Now effectively wiped off the board for years, Batwoman and the Bat Team must prepare themselves for Poison Ivy to return with a vengeance.
Regan’s specific version of Ivy is an eclectic company of actors getting the chance to portray the role. Most recently, Lake Bell won acclaim her voice work as Ivy on the Harley Quinn series. No matter the quirks of this version, however, Regan’s TV history inspires confidence.
