‘Shazam! 2‘ Set Photos Reveal First Look At Rachel Zegler’s Mystery Role

DC’s upcoming sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods has officially begun filming, and new photos from the set have revealed the first look at Rachel Zegler in costume. The images feature a glimpse of the actress suited up for her mystery role.

Zagler’s role in the film is still unconfirmed, but reports claim she will be an antagonist for the movie’s heroes. Previous rumors stated Zegler is playing the sister of Lucy Liu’s Kalypso, which seems even more likely given her suit has an ancient Greek aesthetic.

The highly anticipated sequel is set to feature the return of Asher Angel as Billy Batson, and Zachary Levi as his adult alter ego Shazam. The young hero will have to face off against multiple villains, including Liu as Kalypso, Helen Mirren, and of course Zegler in unconfirmed roles.

David F. Sandberg is returning to direct the sequel with a screenplay penned by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. Moreover, Geoff Johns will produce the feature alongside Peter Safran (Aquaman).

The film stars Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, and Jovan Armand as Billy Batson’s foster siblings. Additionally, Zachary Levi, Meagan Good, Michelle Borth, Ross Butler, D. J. Cotrona, and Adam Brody play older, superpowered versions of the ragtag team of siblings.
