‘Doom Patrol’ Casts Sebastian Croft & Ty Tennant As Dead Boy Detectives

It seems Doom Patrol has found two young stars to portray some lesser-known DC characters in the upcoming third season. According to The Direct, Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant have been cast as the Dead Boy Detectives.
Created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine debuted in 1991’s The Sandman #25. The characters are the ghosts of two dead children. Paine was murdered at his boarding school in 1916, while Rowland was tormented by demonic spirits at the same school in 1990. After Rowland died, he decided to stay on earth to go on adventures with Paine.

Croft has previously starred in Game of Thrones as a young Ned Stark. Tennant, meanwhile, is best known for his roles in Tolkien and War of the Worlds.
In the comics, the Dead Boy Detectives have interacted with the Doom Patrol during the Vertigo crossover the Children’s Crusade. It remains uncertain whether the series will adapt this storyline since it featured several other characters, but perhaps it could use elements of it.
