Spot Rumored To Be The Villain Of ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2’

News on Sony’s highly anticipated Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 has been scarce since it was delayed by the studio. But now Murphy’s Multiverse has suggested that the film’s villain will be the classic Marvel character, The Spot.
Created by Al Milgrom and Herb Trimpe in 1984, The Spot was first introduced in Spectacular Spider-Man #97. Typically depicted as a foe of Spider-Man and Daredevil, Dr. Jonathan Ohnn possesses the ability to create portals to other dimensions allowing him to travel long distances instantly.

The character’s powers would work well with the multiverse, given his ability entails opening portals to other dimensions. Additionally, The Spot has close ties to the Kingpin, which could create a solid connection to the first film. It’s possible the sequel could have it so that The Spot gained his powers from the multiverse opening up.
Further details on the film are still scarce, but hopefully, this rumor is a sign of more to come soon. The studio has yet to reveal what additional Spider-Men will appear in the film; however, it has been teased the Japanese Spider-Man will make an appearance.
