Sony Developing Female-Led Spider-Man Spinoff Focused On ‘Stunner’

It appears Sony is looking to develop another Spider-Man spinoff project for its own cinematic universe. According to insider Daniel Richtman, the studio is making a female-led Stunner project.
Created by J.M. DeMatteis and Mark Bagley in 1994, Stunner debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #397. Angelina Brancale was a video store clerk who fell in love with her teacher Otto Octavius. When the latter used his virtual reality technology on Brancale, she was gifted superhuman strength, reflexes, and endurance.

Richtman did not reveal any further details about the project as it seems it is still in very early development. No creative team or cast has been tied to the spinoff, so fans will have to stay tuned for any further updates concerning the film. Stunner joins an ever-growing slate of Sony Marvel films, including Venom, Morbius, Spider-Woman, and rumored projects including Man-Wolf and Solo.
