‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ Adds Adam Hugill

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has seemingly added another star to its growing cast. According to The Direct, Adam Hugill has been tapped to play Rintrah in the film.
Created by Peter Gillis and Chris Warner in 1986, Rintrah made his first appearance in Doctor Strange #80. An alien from the planet R’Vaal, the creature appears to be a green-skinned minotaur. A magician’s apprentice, the character has the ability to alter his appearance, project an astral form, and fire bolts of mystical energy.

Given Rintrah’s otherworldly origin, perhaps Strange will encounter him during his journey through the multiverse. The character has often served as an ally to Strange, so given this and his ability to travel through dimensions, it makes sense he would appear in the film.
Hugill is a rising star in entertainment, having appeared in the critically acclaimed 1917 and BBC America’s The Watch. Marvel is known for finding promise in new talent, so this is likely why they have tapped him for a role.
Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams are also set to reprise their roles from the original film as Wong, Strange’s nemesis Karl Mordo, and Christine Palmer, respectively. Actress Xochitl Gomez is also set to appear as America Chavez. Sam Raimi took over directing duties for the movie after Scott Derrickson exited the project earlier this year.
