‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ Adds Xochitl Gomez

Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has added another star to its cast. According to Deadline, Baby-Sitters Club actress Xochitl Gomez has been boarded the film.
Set to take the Sorcerer Supreme on an otherworldly journey, the film will reportedly feature a number of new and returning faces. With Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch joining the fray, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Strange will also have to tackle being a mentor to another magic-user. In addition to Wanda, the film is also rumored to feature characters such as Brother Voodoo, Clea, and America Chavez.

Deadline didn’t confirm Gomez’s role in the film, but it’s possible she could be portraying Miss America in the movie. Marvel is rumored to be looking to assemble a team of new heroes with the Young Avengers, making it possible they cast someone on the younger side to play Chavez.
Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor are set to reprise their roles from the original film as Wong and Strange’s nemesis Karl Mordo, respectively. Sam Raimi took over directing duties for the movie after Scott Derrickson exited the project earlier this year.
