Benedict Cumberbatch To Appear As Doctor Strange In ‘Spider-Man 3’

The Master of the Mystic Arts is set to have a large role in a certain wall crawler’s upcoming feature. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Benedict Cumberbatch is set to appear as Doctor Strange in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3.
The report claims Cumberbatch will be in the mentor role previously held by Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury. Cumberbatch isn’t the first big name to board the highly anticipated sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home. It was previously announced that Jamie Foxx will return to Marvel to play Electro once again. Rumors have surfaced saying Foxx will play the same version from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the actor himself has suggested he will be an all new version.
Given Strange will now pop up in the film, it seems likely the movie will deal with the multiverse since that seems to be the direction the MCU is headed. The Sorcerer Supreme himself is set to take on some otherworldly hurdles in his own film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
