After Warner Bros. moved the release of Dune to 2021, many fans assumed they would do the same to some of their other releases. Now it is official as the studio has shifted the release dates of The Batman, The Flash, Shazam! 2, and Black Adam.
In a new press release, the studio revealed that it is making a number of critical changes to its DC release calendar. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, other studios have found that the current theater experience is not well suited for any blockbuster releases.
Robert Pattinson’s The Batman has moved from its Oct. 1, 2021 home to March 4, 2022. Additionally, The Flash has shifted from June 3, 2022 to Nov. 4, 2022. Zachary Levi’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods is leaving its Nov. 4, 2022 release date to June 2, 2023. And lastly, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has moved away from its Dec. 22, 2021 release date and is now undated.
