UPDATE: Netflix Eyeing Live-Action ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Series With Keanu Reeves

UPDATE: Rafal Jaki, the executive producer and creator of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, has refuted this report claiming it is incorrect.
The highly anticipated video game may be the beginning of an exciting franchise. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Netflix is considering making a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 series with Keanu Reeves involved in some way.
The game follows the adventures of V, a customizable mercenary in Night City, which is controlled by corporations and unassailed by the laws of both country and state. Cyberpunk 2077 was developed and published by CD Projekt as an adaptation of the Cyberpunk role-playing game. It made headlines when it was revealed that Keanu Reeves was a consultant on the game and has a starring role.

It is uncertain how far into development this series may be, so for now, fans will have to stay tuned for updates. Richtman did not reveal if the streamer has begun discussions with Reeves to appear in the series, so this is still up in the air.
In July, Netflix announced it was developing an anime series based on the game titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The 10 episode limited series will be a standalone story that takes place in the backdrop of Night City with all new characters.
