Garth Will Reportedly Return As Tempest In ‘Titans’

It appears that the Titans have not seen the last of Garth. According to Lance Ausfresser of the Titans Facebook Group, Titans has plans to bring the character back as Tempest.
Ausfresser explained that Garth isn’t done and that Tempest has come up behind the scenes. Unfortunately for him, Red Hood took priority, so the former may not pop up until perhaps Season 4. As of now, how he will return is unclear but, interestingly, the series isn’t done with the character.

In the comics, after being attacked by a kind of “mystic water,” Garth was transported to another dimension where King Atlan trained him. During his training, Garth learned to use powers he never knew he possessed, including elemental abilities which allowed him to heat and cool water around him, create whirlpools, and fire energy blasts from his eyes. After returning to his own dimension, Garth saved his home and renamed himself, Tempest.
Obviously, this origin will need to be changed a bit to fit the narrative in Titans, but it wouldn’t be difficult for the writing team to make it work. And it seems there is now a precedent for characters returning from the dead given Donna Troy will be back for the next season.
